The semifinal matchups on Long Island are set after action in both Nassau and Suffolk County on Thursday afternoon.

In Nassau, top-seeded Roslyn will host fourth-seed Port Washington. The Bulldogs swept all seven courts against Manhasset in its quarterfinal match, while Port Washington received wins from Alexander Karman, Gabriele Brancatelli and Candrin Chris at first, second and third singles, respectively.

In the other semifinal, the Syosset Braves awaited the winner of Thursday’s match between Plainview JFK and Cold Spring Harbor. It was the Hawks who were victorious as Jared Phillips defeated Griffin Schlesinger 7-6(6), 6-3 to lead Plainview to the 5-2 victory.

Just like in Nassau County, the Suffolk semifinals will feature the tournament’s top four seeds.

The top-seeded Hills East Thunderbirds swept cross-town rivals Hills West 7-0 as Matt Andelsman and Jesse Janofsky notched a 6-3, 7-6 win over Keshav Khama and Aman Khanna at second doubles.

Hills East will host fourth-seed Harborfields for a spot in the finals, after Harborfields ousted fifth-seed East Hampton.

Defending county champion Commack will host Bay Shore in the second semifinal. Second-seed Commack took out 10th seed Northport on Thursday, while third-seed Bay Shore defeated the sixth-seed Connetquot.

Despite being outside of the playoffs, South Side and Mepham played one another in a match on Thursday, which would be the final match for the seniors on both teams.

South Side would come out with the 4-3 win as the third doubles team of James Sackstein and Eric Cosares fought back from 3-5 down to win 8-6 to clinch the victory.

“What was even more important than the win was the great show of sportsmanship by both teams for the final match of the season,” said South Side head coach Chris Colesanti. “The two teams and their coaches agreed to allow the players to play singles or doubles against opponents of a similar level to create a competitive and fun match for everyone. They also made sure every single player on both teams got to play a full match. Every court was competitive and both teams exhibited great sportsmanship and camaraderie. The Cyclones would like to thank the Mepham Pirates and their coach, Kerri Latuso, for a great day of tennis and a memorable end to the spring season.”
