Tip of the Week: Three Basic Technique Ideas and Three Basic Strategy Ideas

Keep your thoughts as simple as possible. Here are a few technique and a few strategy ideas to consider. Try to execute one at a time.

Watch the ball all the way through the point of contact on all of your shots. Get ready for the ball to come back after each shot. Follow through on all of your groundstrokes ending up with your hand(s) shoulder height.

Try to hit three or four of your normal shots in a row on every point. Get the first serve in play and get the return in play on as many points as possible. Use the first two or three shots to set up the point by using depth, direction, or by varying speed.

Try to pick one technique and one strategy idea. Once you have executed those successfully most of the time, add another. Practice this when hitting and during an actual point.
