The regular season in high school tennis on Long Island came to a close on Thursday afternoon, with many conference titles and seeding implications on the line, as we approach the individual championships in both Nassau and Suffolk County this weekend.

Niles Ghaffar won at first singles and Robert Cecala and Alex Holden notched a win at second doubles.

In Nassau County Conference I action, Great Neck North wrapped up the No. 5 seed in the playoffs with a 4-3 win over Hewlett. Jeremy Ahdoot and Kyle Kamali helped lead the way with a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(2) win at first doubles.

The fourth doubles duo of Tyler Burd and Ethan Bloom won 6-2, 6-7(3), 7-5 to lead Plainview JFK to a 5-2 win over Cold Spring Harbor.

West Hempstead defeated Uniondale 6-1 on the backs of its third doubles duo as Andrew Cobos and Ian Williams came back to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
