Nicolette Loeffler won at first singles to lead Cold Spring Harbor to the season-opening win on Friday.


The Nassau County Girls' High School Tennis season began on Friday afternoon, while the Suffolk season continued its second week. Below are scores from matches reported to us.

Cold Spring Harbor 5, Friends Academy 2

The Seahawks defeated Friends Academy 5-2 in a rematch of last year’s county final, as Nicolette Loeffler defeated Isabella Sha at first singles in a rematch of last season’s individual county singles final.

Great Neck South 7, North Shore 0

Samantha Zeltzer came back from a set down to win 5-7, 6-0, 6-4 at third singles to lead Great Neck South.

Harborfields 5, Huntington 2

Emma Kirshner won 6-1, 6-1 at third singles to lead Harborfields.

Herricks 5, Clarke 2

Chloe Kim & Ankita Jha won in straight sets at first doubles for Herricks.

Plainview-Old Bethpage 6, Glen Cove 1

Plainview-Old Bethpage’s Dani Weissman posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory at first singles.

Syosset 7, Great Neck North 0

Sara Gao clinched the win for Syosset with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at third singles.

Hewlett 7, Calhoun 0

Hewlett’s Eva Karmazin & Mia Teplish were winners at first doubles to lead Hewlett.

Plainedge 4, Baldwin 3

At second doubles, Kimberly Lane & Sophia Feretti won 7-6(4), 6-4 to lead Plainedge to the win.

Manhasset 7, Jericho 0

Grace Li & Alexandra Bartul helped lead Manhasset to the win as they held on for a 6-1, 3-6, 7-6(7) victory at third doubles.

Massapequa 6, Mepham 1

Massapequa’s Ava Fontana rallied to win 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-5 at second singles to lead her team.

Long Beach 6, Carle Place 1

Shaianne Fischer, Hailey Brandt and Jordan Collinson won at first, second and third singles, respectively, to lead Long Beach.

Port Washington 5, Roslyn 2

Dasha Perfiliev clinched the win for Port Washington with a 7-6(5), 7-6(1) triumph at first singles.

Oyster Bay 4, Locust Valley 3

Oyster Bay’s Anna Pace & Kate Webster held on to win 6-1, 0-6, 6-3 at first doubles to help seal their team’s victory.

Lawrence 7, Hempstead 0

Ariana Watson won in straight sets at first singles to lead Lawrence.
