On Sunday, Sept. 21, Lawrence Yacht & Country Club will partner with the Wounded Warriors Project to host an all-day event to honor our nation’s heroes. The day will feature tennis, golf and fishing activities, and will culminate with a dinner and cocktail reception at night.

For the tennis folks, there will be a doubles tournament beginning at 2:00 p.m. The format, courts, groups and all rules interpretation will be handled by Lawrence Yacht and Country Club Tennis Pro Mark Harrison. Prior to the tournament, Harrison and other tennis pros from the Club will offer a tennis clinic to those Wounded Warriors interested in learning more about the game.

There are spots still available in the tournament at $150 per player, including lunch, dinner and a gift. Lunch will be served around noon before tennis play begins.

The day will include more than just tennis for those interested in doing something else. There will be a golf tournament, with a four-person scramble format. The entry is $125 per golfer, including the golf cart fee, lunch and dinner.

The day’s events conclude with a dinner and cocktail reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. If you wish to just come for the dinner, the cost is $60 per person. All events are free for Wounded Warriors. There are also options to make other charitable donations to help benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.

The Lawrence Yacht & Country Club is located on 101 Causeway in Lawrence, N.Y. For more information on how to register for any of the day’s events or make a donation, contact Barry Ringelheim at (516) 745-8820 or e-mail mrbarryr@aol.com.
