World TeamTennis (WTT) Announces 2010 Schedule

The 2010 World TeamTennis (WTT) schedule has been released. This year’s season begins Monday, July 5 and runs through Sunday, July 25 when the 2010 Finals will take place. Locally, the New York Sportimes will play their matches this year at Sportime Stadium at Randall’s Island, located right off the Triboro Bridge. The 2010 Sportimes team, led by Coach Chuck Adams, features Kim Clijsters and John McEnroe, along with Ashley Harkleroad, Robert Kendrick, Abigail Spears and Jesse Witten. Highlights of the Sportimes 2010 home schedule include Wednesday, July 7, when the Sportimes take on James Blake and the Boston Lobsters; Monday, July 12 when the Sportimes and John McEnroe face the Springfield Lasers; Wednesday, July 14 when the Sportimes welcome Andy Roddick and the Philadelphia Freedoms; Thursday, July 15 against the Washington Kastles with Venus and Serena Williams; and Monday, July 19 as Kim Clijsters and the Sportimes take on interstate rivals the New York Buzz with Martina Navratilova.
